Covid-19: Arboricultural Works Update

Covid-19 has certainly put a stop to play for many industries as the UK (and the world) try to contain the virus. Here at Wharton we are doing everything possible to keep the business running and following Government and industry lead advice. Your safety as well as our own is paramount in these concerning times.

We want you to know that where safe to do so, we are still able to attend sites for tree inspections and surveys. This follows on from the advice of the Arboricultural Association who have been in correspondence with George Eustice MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Farming and Rural Affairs (Defra) and received  a response from Defra Minister Lord Goldsmith on 2nd April. The key points set out in this letter being:

“Arboriculturists should therefore be able to continue with outdoor work, where they can continue to follow Public Health England guidelines. I would therefore like to thank the Arboricultural Association for your work done already to disseminate this information to your members and the sector.”

The whole document can be seen here.

Therefore, with the above in mind we are still able to attend sites where safe to do so, and complete all relevant surveys to stop any further project delays relating to Covid-19.
