The opportunity:

Wharton Natural Infrastructure Consultants are based in Coughton, Warwickshire with clients across England and Wales.

As a result of our continued commitment to improve client relations and meet the needs of increased client base, we are looking for a Project Coordinator to work primarily with our consultants.  The position is aimed at a self-motivated individual, with excellent organisational (a little OCD is encouraged) and communication skills, who wants to both develop their career, provide ideas to the business and increase efficiency.

The role:

The main responsibility of the position is to support the consultants to ensure projects are completed on time and in budget, via the use of our project management system. This will include:

  • communicating with clients from the point of sending initial costs, through to organisation of site visits, before handing expertise over to the consultants

  • follow-up with clients once a project is complete, to ensure we have delivered what is required

  • to organise the Project Management System and inform clients of delivery times and other project matters

  • to further develop the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for the Company to allow full engagement with clients and for internal use.

  • to follow all planning application projects on the Planning Portal and communicate with clients

  • working with all business sections

  • have the ability to cross and up sell our four core services

  • attendance of meetings to represent the company

  • company initiatives, development of company within the marketplace; and

  • development of company documents.

You will need the ability to gain an understanding of how we assist architects, planning consultants, developers and land managers across the UK, and be able to cross & up-sell.. You will need to be pragmatic in approach, solution driven, have a great communication skills and be able to use your initiative. Skills required for the position:

The successful applicant will:

  • be an excellent communicator, being able to communicate to the team & our clients, and work on multiple projects

  • be exceptionally well organised and be able to use project management systems

  • be diligent and accurate in your work, well presented, trustworthy and punctual

  • be willing to learn, grow and provide a consistently high level of service, as part of our motivated team

  • be computer and IT literate with experience in using Microsoft Office products, with good language skills and an understanding of time management

  • be confident in providing ideas and feedback to improve our service and internal processes

  • have the ability to learn about the services we provide, but have a natural appreciation for the environment

  • have a minimum 2 years experience in project coordination, strategies to increase conversion rates from quotation to instruction

  • hold a recognised qualification in business management or closely related field.

  • ability to communicate with people to meet deadlines on time and within budget.

Most importantly, be able to provide solutions to our clients and drive the team.

Salary range:

£18,000 - £28,000 DOE

Final salary and package will be based on qualifications and experience. This is a position initially based on a 39.5 hour working week and 3 month probationary period.
