Coronavirus Statement: For Us, It’s Business As Usual

In light of the increasing number of questions over the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to share with you, as our clients and future clients, Wharton’s business continuity plans and to reassure you that it’s ‘business as usual’ from our team.

Our flexible ways of working mean that our team are fully accessible as usual and have everything they need in order to work remotely. Our aim is to ensure that we provide a continued high service of delivery that you have become so familiar with.

Wharton Natural Infrastructure Consultants understand that our clients will be concerned about our arrangements to deal with the current Coronavirus/COVID-19 emergency. We have put in place a number of business continuity plans to deal with the current and projected future situation and we are confident that these will enable us to maintain the high quality, level of service for you, our clients.

We have an established protocol that the whole office is using, which is regularly updated as things change or become required. This will enable us to operate from home if necessary and ensure the level of service you have become used to from Wharton Natural Infrastructure Consultants, will remain unaffected.

The business has recently invested in high-tech equipment & processes to facilitate discussing work without the need for actual face-to-face meetings, i.e. Microsoft Teams, emails and video conferencing, and uses Office 365 along with other relevant cloud-based products. We have also ensured working remotely is sustainable for long periods of time. In the unlikely event of system failure, we have a second back up system in place.

Our staff have been briefed on our contingency plans and are able to access projects and client information, in a secure manner, from anywhere. A high percentage of our staff are allocated work mobile phones and as a matter of process the recommendation is for landlines to be diverted to mobiles if staff are working from home or away from the office.

If you have any questions, or would like to know more about our protocols and emergency plans, then please contact Peter Wharton, our Director at peter@wnic.co.uk.
