Laura Stock MSc BSc(Hons)
Assistant Ecological Consultant
Laura joined the team at Wharton in May 2021 as an Assistant Ecological Consultant. Laura has a Masters Degree in Ecological Management & Conservation Biology and Degree in Biological Science. Since 2016 whilst studying Laura has worked as a season a on ecologist undertaking newt and bat surveys, plus a number of phase 1 preliminary ecological assessments. Laura has been involved in a wide range of projects throughout the UK, and has experience in completing many biodiversity net gain assessments using both the DEFRA metric as well as the county-specific metric utilised in our local area of Warwickshire.
Laura has developed a strong set of skills in protected species surveying with bats and newts having worked previously on many large infrastructure and residential development schemes.
Finding ways that the human and natural world can coexist successfully is a passion of Laura’s, and she enjoys the challenge of integrating ecology with development to create better places to live, work and play.

If money were no option I would: I would travel the world and be doing research on wildlife in South America or on Cetaceans.
