Summary: An application was submitted for the demolition of warehouse buildings and construction of student accommodation. Significant liaison with stakeholders was undertaken to enhance the canal towpath, including wildflower areas, fruit trees and a green wall. This solution mitigated adverse effects for tree loss and also provided significant enhancement for the community and biodiversity.
