Services: Pre-application advice, BS5837:2012 tree survey, constraints and opportunities assessment and supporting Arboricultural Impact Assessment.
Summary: Full planning permission was granted for works to be carried out at Grade II listed Armley Grange Day Centre in Leeds. The works include: demolition of external canopy, window / door / roofing replacements and alterations to '1960's building', new and improved access, alterations to the car park creating 2 play areas and additional parking spaces; a new bin collection point, cycle storage and boundary treatments. Wharton was instructed to work with the planning and design team led by Keri Dobson of Dobson Grey, to successfully take the scheme through the planning process. Sebastian Onslow had a vital part to play in relation to the redesign of the parking area and working within the root protection zones of the trees to be retained.
On 13th March 2020, Leeds City Council granted permission subject to the discharge of planning conditions.
